I broke my left wrist in July 1951, by doing the high-bar routine in gymnastics. I did a giant swing but I let go a little bit too late on the dismount. I landed on the left side with my hand bent backwards. I was told by the doctor in 1954 that bones were all rounded off and would never grow back properly, and re-breaking would not improve the situation. For all these years I've had pain. I've had to wrap it in tensor bandages to do any kind of work, so i wouldn’t strain it. I couldn’t use my wrist at all without having a lot of pain. |

I couldn’t hold a fork full of food or a cup full of coffee without really concentrating on using my shoulder muscles to compensate for the wrist. I couldn’t even bend my wrist to get the food into my mouth. The pain would keep me up at night, and I would have to constantly find a nice cool place for it, or hold it with the other hand until I could fall asleep again. In May, 2007 I met Sonja and she worked on my wrist for about 10-12 minutes. And wouldn’t you know it, I have no more pain! It’s gone! The wrist is still stiff, that will never go away, but the pain is gone. It’s been over a month and it is still gone. This is fantastic, I don’t even think about my wrist anymore! I wasn’t exactly skeptic about this healing, but I didn’t expect this! Hans Madaisky |
